Looking to the horizon

This month Joe attended the first Surveyors Australia Business Academy in Christchurch. Over two days attendees had the opportunity to deep dived into their business strategy. At Horizon we believe in investing in continuous learning and professional development, to stay ahead in our industry and keeping up to date with the latest trends in the field.

Introducing Mackenzee Armit - Planning Assistant

This month we welcomed to the team Mackenzee who is in her second year of study at AUT studying Urban Planning. Mackenee is learning the ropes and is excited to be applying her knowledge from her studies to the role. A Red Beach local, in her spare time Mackenzee can be found coaching rowing.

Project Focus - Cames Road

Local Barfoot and Thompson real estate agent Bridget Selby engaged Horizon Surveying and Land Development to realise the subdivision potential of her rural Mangawhai property.

Under the Environmental Benefit Subdivision provisions of the Kaipara District Plan, 2.5ha of native bush was identified on Bridget’s property as worthy of protection and Horizon was able to successfully create three secluding bush sites from its protection, leaving a 3.7ha balance site for Bridget to build her forever home.

Bridget expressed her gratitude, stating, "Thank you guys for all your hard work. I am absolutely rapt with the outcome, could you please pass on our thanks to the whole team for all your hard work. I have been recommending your team to people and will continue to do so. Your service is outstanding and you leave every other planning company in this area for dead. I look forward to working with you in the future to finish the subdivision and any other planning we need done we will only work with you."
