Joe Fletcher

Originally from Mangawhai Joe headed to the mainland to complete his Bachelor of Surveying at Otago University where he meet his wife Sarah. After spending some time working in Australia and Queenstown, Joe move to Christchurch as part of the earthquake rebuild, gaining a significant amount of experience as a surveyor. Joe is a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.     Joe picked up the baton from Ross Thurlow who established the company (previously known as Thurlows Engineering and Surveyors Ltd) 25 years ago. Joe has been the Director of Horizon since 2019 growing the team from five to fourteen, re branding, acquiring a second office location as well as the recent additional services of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Planning. You could say Joe likes to keep busy and never backs down from a challenge.     Whenever he gets a chance Joe can be found at the local driving range and would love nothing more than to have client meetings on the golf course. Joe is a passionate warriors supporter, some would argue their number one fan, and is known in a few circles as "that warriors guy". The team have become accustom to his informative banter on the subject and his affirmation is always "this is our year". Joe and his wife Sarah live in Snells Beach with their three young boys.       Joe has a keen interest in Rural Lifestyle Land Development and helping his clients create sustainable and ethical developments for future generations.
